Two to six months from now
Two months or more, when you are ready. You might do some homework before you show your hand to the world.
You can search the latest sale prices of properties in your area on www.qv.co.nz/default.htm It pays to do your homework, because you need to know which consultants are in touch with the market – it can cost you a lot of money if you employ a consultant who’s out of touch. Buyers are sophisticated and you don’t want to lose a buyer because your consultant isn’t abreast with the market.
Keep in mind, too, that the property statistics issued by the Real Estate Institute and Quotable value are two months old.
At this stage, a fact-finding trip around open homes will give you a good idea of how properties are being presented to the market. The real estate consultants will all ask you if you want to sell and when they can give you an appraisal. But just look and shop around. Don’t commit yourself because at this stage you’re just looking around.

By now, you have a good idea of my knowledge and experience in providing the best possible choices and service.
There’s usually a lot of planning and administration to be done before your property hits the market, and that time is well spent. We might be able negotiate a sale for you within a month, which could mean more dollars in your pocket.
