The good news is relocation can be rewarding. It is, however, not for the faint-hearted. Think about your motives for making the move, because you’ll have to revisit them often during the first years.

First, decide if the move is temporary or permanent because your choice will make a huge difference in your planning and actions.

Some people are great planners; others fly by the seat of their pants. If you have a family, it is wise to plan well, as the move is stressful. Involving everyone from the beginning will make life a bit easier once you land in New Zealand.

  • Ask your present bank to assist you to open a New Zealand bank account.
  • Make sure you get originals of all the documents required by immigration. If your documents are not in English you will need a certified translation of it.
  • Get an International driver’s licence.

The purpose of this website is to take the sting out of your relocation and to help you settle into New Zealand as quickly as possible because I recognise that buying a home in a foreign country is difficult. Our aim is to help you make good decisions on buying a home.
